The polls open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m.

All voters need to show Photo ID in order to obtain a ballot. For a complete list of acceptable identification, visit: https://BringIt.wi.gov.

You must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old, who has resided at a residential address for at least twenty-eight (28) consecutive days immediately preceding the election, with no present intent to move, not currently serving a sentence including probation or parole for a felony conviction, and is not disqualified from voting, is an eligible elector. You may register to vote in one of the four following ways:
  1. By Mail: Download the Voter Registration Application (EL-131). Complete the application and mail it to: Town of Eagle Clerk, PO Box 327, Eagle WI 53119 up to twenty (20) days before the election. Proof of Residence is required and a copy must be included when submitting the registration application.
  2. Online: You may register online up to twenty (20) days prior to the election. Visit https://myvote.wi.gov.
  3. Clerk’s Office: You may register in-person in the Clerk’s office up to 5:00 p.m. on the Friday before the election. You cannot register the Saturday, Sunday, or Monday before an election. Proof of Residence if required.
  4. Polling Location on Election Day: You may register to vote on Election Day. Proof of residence is required.
*If you are an active military voter or a permanent overseas voter (with no intent to return to the U.S.), you do not need to provide a Proof of Residence document. All Proof of Residence documents must include the voter’s name and current residential address. Acceptable Proof of Residence Includes:
  • current and valid Wisconsin driver license or receipt for license.
  • current and valid Wisconsin identification card or receipt for identification card.
  • Any other official identification card or license issued by a Wisconsin governmental body or unit.
  • Any identification card issued by an employer in the normal course of business and bearing a photo of the card holder, but not including a business card.
  • A real estate tax bill or receipt for the current year or the year preceding the date of the election.
  • A university, college or technical college identification card (must include photo) ONLY if the voter provides a fee receipt dated within the last 9 months that includes name and address.
  • A utility bill (gas, electric, water, sewer, telephone/mobile, cable/satellite, TV, internet, etc.) for the period commencing no earlier than 90 days before Election Day.
  • A bank statement (account statement from a bank or credit union, including:  checking/savings, mortgage, home equity credit line, credit card).
  • A paycheck (or stub documentation of direct deposit).
  • A check or other document issued by a unit of government (federal, state, county, municipal, school district, tribal).
  • A signed letter on public or private social service agency letterhead identifying a homeless voter and describing the individual’s residence for voting purposes.
  • A residential lease that is effective on the date of registration (not valid if registering by mail).
  • A residential care facility contract or intake document prepared by the facility in which the person resides. (May be used only for registering to vote at the facility address.)
You may present your proof of residence document as a paper document or as an electronic document on your smartphone, tablet or computer.  Please note however that an internet connection may not always be available for your use.

Any qualified elector who is registered or registers to vote can request an absentee ballot. You do not need a reason or an excuse to vote absentee. Request an Absentee by Mail: Download the Absentee Ballot Application (EL-121). Complete the application and mail the form to: Eagle Town Clerk, PO Box 327, Eagle WI 53119. If you have not previously provided a copy of photo ID, photo ID must accompany your application. The request must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on the Thursday before Election Day in order for an absentee ballot to be mailed. Online, Email, or Fax Requests: You may submit a request that a ballot be mailed to you by going to https://myvote.wi.gov and clicking “Vote Absentee”, by emailing the clerk at clerk@townofeaglewi.us or faxing the clerk at 262-594-5820. Written requests must contain your name, address, date of birth, date of the election, address to which the ballot should be mailed, your phone number, and your signature. If you have not previously provided a copy of photo ID, photo ID must accompany your application. The request must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on the Thursday before Election Day in order for an absentee ballot to be mailed. In-Person Absentee: You may vote in-person at the Town Hall Office, 820 E Main Street, Eagle WI 53119 starting approximately two (2) weeks before each election, ending at 5:00 p.m. on the Friday before the election. Proof of Identification is required. Deadline for Returning Absentee Ballots: The completed ballot must be received no later than 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. Military/Permanent Overseas Voters: Members of the military (including spouses and children) and U.S. citizens’ abroad (intent to return is uncertain) can request an absentee ballot online at https://myvote.wi.gov. Requests can also be made by completing a Federal Post Card Application (FPCA). These applications may also be obtained by eligible voters from voting assistance officers within their branch of service, from a U.S. consulate or embassy or from the Federal Voting Assistance Program at: T: (800) 438-VOTE (8683) –Toll Free vote@fvap.gov www.fvap.gov
